Message Centre: Microsoft 365 Information Governance – Retention policies for Teams private channels messages

For anyone interested in compliance in M365 then this message centre update may be of interest. Up to now if you wanted to retain Teams channel messages you were restricted to those posted in public groups i.e. no private channel messages were possible.

With this update Microsoft are solving this particular gap and from some time in July administrators will have the option to create retention policies targeting “Teams private channels”.
